Over time, the plastic tubing and fittings in the original system become brittle and prone to internal restriction from oil deposits and sludge. This blockage causes increased crank case pressure, which can lead to oil leaks past seals. If ignored, this condition can result in significant oil loss, reduced oil pressure, and potentially catastrophic engine failure. This comprehensive kit includes all necessary OE Volvo-grade components to completely service the flame trap and crank case ventilation system. Proper servicing typically requires the removal of the intake manifold, making it a labor-intensive job. It is generally recommended to replace these components around every 100,000 miles, though this can vary based on oil quality, maintenance intervals, and driving conditions. The IPD PCV Kits are assembled using components that meet or exceed Original Equipment (OE) Volvo standards. This kit is specifically designed for the following Volvo models: 2005-2007 V70 Turbo, 2005-2007 XC70 Turbo, 2005-2009 S60 Turbo, 2005-2006 S80 Turbo (5-cylinder), and 2003-2007 XC90 Turbo (5-cylinder with chassis number 000773 and higher). Your vehicle's chassis number can be identified as the last six digits of its VIN.
