The Tomei Forged Billet Full Counterweight Crankshaft is engineered for demanding high-performance applications, specifically for the Toyota 4A-G engine series. This crankshaft is crucial for converting piston reciprocation into the rotary motion needed to drive the wheels, especially at high speeds where torsional, bending rigidity, and wear resistance are paramount. To enhance engine balance and longevity, this crankshaft features eight full counterweights. These weights are strategically placed on the arms to effectively counteract the inertial forces generated by the pistons' up-and-down movement and the rotational inertia of the crankpin. This design significantly reduces engine vibration and minimizes shaft bending, thereby preventing uneven wear on the bearings. Constructed from 4340 forged billet material and treated with nitriding for superior durability, this crankshaft boasts a stroke of 83.00mm. It features a 42.0mm crank pin and a 48.0mm main journal, with an overall weight of 25.4 pounds. This component is designed for the 4A-G engine application and is compatible with the 1991-2000 Toyota Trueno and other 4A-G(Z) engine variants such as the 1985-1989 Toyota MR2 Super Charged and 1984-1989 Toyota MR2.
