Description

The Mitsubishi MD184529 is a Hall Effect crankshaft position sensor designed for accurate engine timing. This black-lid sensor comes with a connector plug. It is compatible with various Mitsubishi models, including the Eclipse (1992-1994, 1989-1999), Galant (1992), and Lancer. The sensor plays a crucial role in detecting engine speed and determining fuel injection timing, contributing to the overall understanding of the car's operating conditions. It is also referenced for use with Eagle Talon (1993-1994) and Plymouth Laser (1993-1994) models. Some sources indicate it can be used as a Camshaft Angle Sensor (CAS) on 1G models, though installation may require hard-wiring, especially for 1989-1990 models. It is noted that the 93-94 models are Hall-effect with a connector, and some installations may utilize a 2G OEM style cam sensor for crank trigger purposes.
