MIA's Description
It consists of a permanent magnet, yoke, and coil, and is mounted close to a tooth gear. As each tooth moves by the sensor, AC voltage pulses are induced into the coil. The ECM then determines the speed at which the component is revolving based on the number of pulses per second, which is the signal frequency.
