Description

The Standard IGN PC837 is a crankshaft position sensor. This sensor consists of a permanent magnet, yoke, and coil, and is mounted close to a tooth gear. As each tooth passes the sensor, AC voltage pulses are inducted into the coil, with faster rotation producing more pulses to help the ECM determine speed.
