Factory K-Series timing chain gears are known to have a risk of their positioning dowel pin breaking under high stress, which can lead to the engine losing timing and potentially catastrophic damage. This modified crank timing gear from Drag Cartel solves this critical issue by utilizing a crank key-way to securely lock the gear in place. This robust design significantly lowers the risk of the timing chain skipping, thereby increasing overall engine reliability. It is presented as a great reliability modification for both stock and upgraded K-Series engines. Applications for this modified crank timing gear include the 2002-2004 Acura RSX Type-S, 2002-2006 Acura RSX, and the 2002-2006 Honda CR-V.
