Description

This SEALED POWER FP-AR40485 crankshaft replaces crankshafts marked R40570 and is designed for John Deere 4-270 Late Diesel Engines. It features a flat flange with 4 bolt holes and 2 dowels, and a snout with 1 bolt hole, 1 keyway, and a balancer gear. The new style crankshaft may require enlargement of the old style flywheel center hole for adaptation. It has a stroke of 4.750 inches, a bore of 4.250 inches, a rod journal of 2.998-2.999 inches, and a main journal of 3.3715-3.3725 inches. It also includes an installed L-Hand Helix timing gear with 23 teeth and an installed R-Hand Helix balanced gear with 74 teeth.
