The Flyin' Miata crankshaft woodruff key is a direct replacement part designed for specific Mazda Miata models from 1991 to 2005. While not a common wear item, this key can be susceptible to damage over time, especially after multiple timing belt replacements, making it a prudent part to replace preventatively. This woodruff key is exclusively compatible with "big nose" engines. This designation applies to all 1.8L engines and 1.6L engines produced after mid-1991. To identify if your 1.6L engine has a "big nose" configuration, count the slots on the face of the crankshaft pulley; eight slots indicate a big nose, while four slots indicate a small nose. This part fits the following model years: 1991-1997, 1999-2005, and the 2004-2005 MSM. It is made from a woodruff key material and comes with a 1-year warranty.
