The Classic Diesel Designs CDD-IDI-BVSK represents a fully restored and upgraded OEM turbo kit, meticulously prepared for IDI diesel engines. The kit showcases a CNC mandrel-bent crossover pipe and a robust one-piece bellowed up pipe assembly. This critical component is treated with a high-temperature ceramic-based coating, capable of withstanding up to 2000°F. This advanced coating not only provides a durable, rust-preventative finish that resembles matte powder coat but also significantly insulates against heat transfer. This insulation effect is crucial for enhancing turbo spool times and minimizing the transfer of exhaust heat into the vehicle's cab and floor. Options for different turbocharger configurations (Stock CDD Turbo or Stage 1 61mm CDD Turbo) and coating finishes (No coating, Black, or Silver) are available. The kit comes complete with new seals, O-rings, a 4" intake kit, an aluminum coolant reservoir, an upgraded downpipe, and a stainless braided turbo feed line with fittings to replace the leak-prone stock unit, all while retaining the stock oil pressure sending unit. The turbo itself, whether stock T04B or an upgraded unit, is rebuilt with an upgraded 360° thrust bearing and improved oil seal rings. This comprehensive kit also includes a CDD cold air intake, CDD Turbo glow plug harness, Banks upgraded downpipe, OEM turbo install kit, new hardware and gaskets, powder-coated valve covers, and a remote mount coolant reservoir. Customers can choose from various color options for valve covers and piping, with default being silver for valve covers. Custom color requests can be made via email. A lead time of 14-16 weeks is to be expected for turbo kits due to the extensive restoration, machining, and coating processes involved.
