CSF Twin Air-to-Water Charge-Air Cooler Set

The CSF #8178 is a twin charge-air-cooler set specifically engineered for the BMW F9X M5 and M8 chassis. As the world leader in BMW air-to-water charge-air cooling technology, CSF has applied innovative manufacturing techniques to create this high-performance system. This set replaces the OEM crimped-on plastic end tanks with larger, CFD-analyzed, 100% TIG-welded cast end tanks. The design incorporates 1-piece seamless air inlet end tanks with integrated charge pipes, improving upon the OEM glued-on charge pipes. Additionally, dual 1/8 NPT ports are integrated into the outlet side air tanks for easy installation of aftermarket methanol or nitrous injection systems, strategically placed for maximum performance. CSF guarantees a "Drop-In Fit" design, requiring no modifications for installation, with precise fitment achieved through 3D scanning and rapid prototyping. These charge-air coolers are currently installed on some of the fastest S63-powered M cars, including a 1200+ HP F90 M5. Performance testing indicates a significant reduction in Intake Air Temperatures (IATs) and an improvement in 60-130 MPH times by approximately 0.3 seconds. The set includes left and right charge-air coolers along with necessary installation hardware. Custom finishes are available for a unique engine bay aesthetic, though anodizing is not possible.
