CSL Carbon Airbox

The Evolve BMW E46 M3 CSL (S54) Black Carbon Airbox is engineered for enthusiasts seeking enhanced performance and an iconic induction sound. Developed with input from F1 panel manufacturers and utilizing advanced production techniques, this airbox is constructed from 100% pre-preg carbon fiber. It is designed to deliver substantial power increases, sharper throttle response, and the distinctive CSL airbox induction roar, which is only audible under heavy load above 2500 rpm, unlike exhaust systems that affect noise levels at all times. This airbox integrates with a custom MAFLESS Alpha-N ECU calibration, which involves removing the Air Mass Sensor to optimize airflow and ensure smooth engine operation. Key ECU remapping strategies include adjustments to full throttle and part throttle fuel and ignition, torque calculation, removal of the 250 km/h speed limiter, and the factory 6300 rpm dyno limiter. Additionally, the sport button memory function is enabled for permanent setting retention, and both normal and sport throttle maps are modified for smoother driving. The system also allows for intake and exhaust VANOS adjustments and recalibrates throttle opening maps to achieve 100% opening. Installation of this airbox requires the purchase of additional parts sold separately, including an IAT Sensor (part number 13621725324), Brake Air Valve (11617833647), and Breather Hose (11157833649). For SMG transmissions, a SMG Reservoir bottle (21532282549) and bracket (41147896136) are also necessary. Install guides for the IAT Sensor and general installation are provided.
