This water pump replaces the OEM plastic impeller with a stronger metal version, which resists cracking and flexing under heavy loads, helping to prevent failures and overheating. The lightweight aluminum drive pulley includes cooling fins to help dissipate heat from the bearing.

The Bullet Proof Diesel water pump is engineered as a high-performance upgrade for 1989-2025 Cummins 5.9L and 6.7L engines, offering enhanced durability over stock units. It boasts a precision-machined aluminum housing and a new, robust seal, ensuring reliable performance. A key feature is the upgraded, larger, and more durable ball bearing assembly, which significantly increases longevity compared to the factory bearing. This pump also replaces the OEM plastic impeller with a stronger metal impeller. This metal construction helps prevent common failures associated with cracked or flexing plastic impellers, thereby reducing the risk of overheating and costly repairs. The metal impeller's stiffness also helps prevent cavitation and erosion under heavy loads. The design includes a lightweight all-aluminum drive pulley with cooling fins. This pulley not only helps to minimize parasitic loss but also actively assists in cooling the bearing, even under extreme operating conditions. This comprehensive approach to cooling and durability makes it a superior replacement for common OEM pump failures. This water pump is a direct replacement for numerous OE part numbers, including 68569196AB, 5473238, 5521882, and 2881804, among others. It comes with a 1-year parts exchange only warranty.
