The Mobil Curve Grease 213 is a specialized lithium hydroxystearate grease engineered to effectively lubricate rail track curves. Its primary function is to reduce friction and consequently minimize wheel wear in these critical areas. Formulated with 3% molybdenum disulfide, a solid additive known for its friction-reducing capabilities, this grease provides exceptional performance under boundary layer (metal-to-metal contact) conditions. This significantly decreases wear and prolongs the service life of wheels. Furthermore, Curve Grease 213 is enhanced with polymers. This feature improves its adhesion to the rail curve, ensuring it stays in place even under demanding operating conditions. The polymer enhancement also contributes to its water resistance, maintaining lubrication integrity even in the presence of moisture.
