Manufactured from durable chromoly with a .080" wall thickness, these pushrods ensure reliability and performance. Available in a 5/16 inch diameter, these pushrods are laser etched with their specific size and the ZZP logo, signifying quality and precision. They are supplied in a reusable hard plastic case for convenient storage and protection. The 6.95" or 7.00" lengths are common upgrades for VS/XP/NIC cam cars utilizing LS7/Comp OER/LS7 lifters with stock-length valves. For XPZ cam builds, which feature a smaller intake lobe base circle, a combination of lengths like (6) 7.05" and (6) 7.00" is typically required. These are sold as a set of 12, with options for (Quantity 6) for custom XPZ camshaft setups. ZZPerformance recommends precise length determination for each specific setup, offering a pushrod length checker tool and detailed instructions for measuring lifter preload. Proper lifter preload is crucial to avoid issues like valves staying open (leading to no compression) or excessive valve train noise and potential damage. The length needed will depend on factors such as head milling, block decking, head gasket thickness, valve tip height, camshaft base circle, and rocker arm type.
