The 3SX Custom Hood Struts are quick-release hood shocks designed for easy hood removal. They are available in two versions: High-Tension for stock steel hoods and Low-Tension for aftermarket fiberglass and carbon-fiber hoods.

The 3SX Custom Hood Struts offer a quick-release design for convenient hood removal, eliminating the need to unbolt everything and risk stripping threads. 3SX provides two distinct versions to accommodate different hood materials. For aftermarket hoods, be aware that some may feature smaller thread pitches where the hood struts mount. 3SX offers an optional set of custom-milled 6mm thread pitch bolts to accommodate these specific aftermarket hoods. The standard fitment for stock hoods and 3SX hoods utilizes M8 threads. It is crucial to verify the thread pitch on your hood before placing an order. Note that some aftermarket hoods may not come with pre-installed ports for hood struts. 3SX strongly advises against drilling holes into aftermarket hoods for strut installation, as the material may not be robust enough to prevent damage. Professional installation is highly recommended for aftermarket hoods to ensure proper and safe fitment. These hood struts are sold as a pair.
