The PRL Motorsports "Throwback" Rear Strut Bar is engineered to significantly enhance the structural integrity of your 2016-2021 Honda Civic Hatchback (including Type-R FK8) and 10th Gen 1.5T models. Inspired by the iconic DC2 Acura Integra Type-R's OEM strut bar, this component is crafted to be both lightweight and structurally rigid. It effectively increases chassis strength and rigidity, drastically reducing body flex and deflection to deliver a noticeable improvement in vehicle handling. Constructed from custom 6061 aluminum extruded tubing with a clear anodized finish, the bar is paired with robust 10-gauge steel brackets featuring gussets and an e-coated black finish for durability and corrosion resistance. All necessary hardware is zinc-coated and high-strength. The design retains factory mounting points, facilitating a straightforward installation process and ensuring compliance with various racing class specifications, such as SCCA Street Touring. For optimal fitment, it is important to note that the trunk liner may need to be trimmed or removed.
