CV Axle Assembly

The Cardone 66-7257 CV Axle Assembly is engineered to provide O.E. form, fit, and function for specific Audi A4 and Volkswagen Passat models. Its construction includes 100% neoprene boots, designed to resist bellow stress and ozone cracking, which are primary failure points for boots. This ensures increased durability and longevity. Key features of this CV axle assembly include precision-rolled splines for proper mating with the hub and transmission, eliminating installation hassles. The transmission seal diameter is precisely machined after heat treatment to ensure optimal surface finish and long seal life. Additionally, boot clamps are pneumatically crimped at 700 lbs. of force to create an airtight seal, preventing grease leakage and contamination. A new axle retaining nut is supplied with every unit to facilitate a hassle-free installation, as the original nut is often worn or stripped. The assembly also includes an ABS ring with 45 teeth, and all measurements are validated after assembly to ensure a proper fit.
