Description

Upgraded cast iron cylinder head for 2004.5-2010 GM 6.6L Duramax (LLY/LBZ/LMM) engines. Addresses issues with OEM aluminum heads by using a specialty alloyed gray cast iron with elevated fatigue strength, heat, and creep resistance, matching the cast-iron engine block's heat expansion rate. Includes upgraded nitrided chromoly-silicone alloy intake valves, 214N alloy exhaust valves, 125lb conical valve springs with lightweight CNC-machined retainers and spring seats. Freeze plugs, rocker shaft, and rocker box dowels are preinstalled. Reduces engine clatter. Requires LBZ/LMM glow plugs for LLY engines. Sold individually; two required per engine. Upgraded pushrods recommended.
