The ARP 208-4305 Cylinder Head Stud Kit is engineered to combat head gasket failures common in high-performance applications. With a remarkable tensile strength of 200,000 PSI, these studs deliver the robust clamping force necessary to maintain cylinder head integrity under elevated combustion pressures. Constructed from premium 8740 chrome-moly steel at ARP's Santa Paula, California facility, these studs feature threads that are rolled after the heat-treating process, ensuring superior fatigue strength. They are also centerless ground for perfect concentricity and feature broached ends for straightforward installation, even in confined spaces. Each kit includes heat-treated, chrome-moly steel 12-point nuts and parallel-ground washers. The components are finished with a durable black oxide coating. This specific kit is designed for 1996-2000 Honda Civic D16Y engines, specifically for non-VTEC D16Y7 or Y8 heads. It is important to note that VTEC Z6 heads require a different stud configuration.
