The SpeedFactory Racing D15/D16 SOHC Adjustable Cam Gear provides a straightforward method to optimize engine performance and tailor the power curve. Featuring an EZ-Dial Adjuster and an amplified +/-10 degree vernier timing scale, it allows for precise cam timing adjustments without the frustration of traditional methods. Constructed from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and finished with a durable black hard anodization, this cam gear is precision CNC machined. Rigorous testing for belt tooth profile accuracy, axial, and radial runout showed a significant improvement over OEM and competitor offerings, ensuring reliable performance even at high RPMs (12k+). The "APPLICATIONS" list confirms fitment for 88-00 D-Series 1.5/1.6L SOHC engines, including VTEC, non-VTEC, and JDM variants, specifically covering 88-91 Honda Civic/CRX, 92-95 Honda Civic, 96-00 Honda Civic, and 93-97 Honda Del Sol models. Installation Note: An OEM Honda Woodruff Key (Part # 90741-657-000) is required, as it is not built into this adjustable cam gear. Additionally, never use an impact gun for installation; use a calibrated torque wrench to the specified ft-lbs for aftermarket or OEM camshafts, with a small drop of blue thread locker. Proper mechanical timing must be confirmed at TDC before final adjustments. Locking bolts should be torqued to 18 ft-lbs with blue thread locker.
