Overview

The SpeedFactory Racing D16 H-Beam Connecting Rods are designed for turbocharged D-Series engine builds up to 700HP. Constructed from 2-piece forged 4340 chromoly steel, these rods are heat-treated, magnafluxed, CNC machined, and shot-peened. They feature precision alignment dowels, bronze alloy pin bushings for floating wrist pins, and include 3/8” ARP2000 rod bolts.

The SpeedFactory Racing D16 H-Beam Connecting Rods are engineered for high-performance turbocharged D-Series engine builds, capable of supporting up to 700HP. These rods are constructed from robust, 2-piece forged 4340 chromoly steel, ensuring exceptional strength and durability. Each rod undergoes a rigorous multi-stage heat treatment, magnaflux inspection, CNC machining, and shot-peening process to relieve stress and guarantee quality. They include bronze alloy pin bushings suitable for floating wrist pins and come equipped with high-strength 3/8” ARP2000 rod bolts, rated at 220,000 psi. Instructions and ARP Lube are provided. This design is notably lighter than many comparable H-beam rods and requires minimal clearancing at the bottom of the sleeves. It is profiled to clear most factory D16 main girdles, with very minimal block notching typically needed. The connecting rods are balanced to within +/- 1 gram per set and etched with the SFR logo. These connecting rods are specifically designed for Honda/Acura D16 (ALL) and ZC engines, fitting 1988-2005 Honda Civic models and 1986-1989 Acura Integra models.
