The Red Line D4 ATF is a versatile full-synthetic automatic transmission fluid designed for use where Dexron III, Dexron II, Mercon, and Mercon V fluids are recommended. It is suitable for automatic and manual transmissions, as well as power steering systems.

This fluid provides GL-4 level gear protection and superior low-temperature properties. Its balanced frictional characteristics promote consistent shifting and help prevent varnish buildup in valves and clutches.

The Red Line D4 ATF is a high-performance, full-synthetic transmission fluid engineered to provide superior shear-stability and cold-weather operation compared to standard petroleum-based fluids. By maintaining stable frictional characteristics, it prevents the varnishing of valves and clutches that can lead to transmission failure over time, making it an excellent choice for both high- and low-mileage transmissions. Its formulation offers GL-4 gear protection, which is particularly effective for manual transmissions and transaxles like the T-5, T-45, and T-56 where proper synchronizer engagement is critical. Important compatibility and usage notes: While this fluid is suitable for many manual and automatic applications, please note that Red Line MT-LV, MTL, MT-85, and MT-90 are not for use in differentials with hypoid gears. This fluid is fully compatible with petroleum-based oils and other synthetics, ensuring a smooth transition during fluid changes.
