The Old Man Emu Dakar Leaf Spring Set (EL095R) is engineered to enhance the ride quality and load-carrying capacity of 2005-2023 6-lug Toyota Tacomas. This rear leaf spring set provides an approximate lift of 2.75 inches for 2005-2015 models and 2 inches for 2016 and newer models. Designed for vehicles that consistently carry over 330 lbs, these springs offer a progressive spring rate and are built with features like draw-tapered and diamond-cut leaves to distribute loads effectively, reducing stress and preventing premature breakage. The construction includes anti-friction pads, a flat axle seat area, and a military wrap, ensuring durability for both on- and off-road applications. The springs are fully scragged and load-tested for reliability in demanding environments. For those needing additional lift or an increased spring rate, an optional EL46XL leaf can be pre-installed in the spring pack to add 15mm of lift and enhance load handling. Installation of these leaf springs is considered to be of medium difficulty and requires mechanical expertise or professional installation. It's important to note that OME SB108 Bushings are required for installation and are sold separately. Additionally, for 2005-2015 Tacomas, an optional FK29 Driveshaft Packer Kit may be used to space down the carrier bearing, reducing tail shaft flange angle and potential driveline vibration. The leaf springs are sold as a pair. Note that the springs may arrive with cosmetic scratches from shipping, which can be touched up after installation.
