The Zumbrota Drivetrain Reman Complete Axle Assembly is specifically designed to replace the original unit in 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokees equipped with a Dana 35 differential. This assembly features a 3.73 gear ratio and Posi Traction (LSD) for enhanced performance. Each axle assembly is meticulously remanufactured to ensure precision and reliability. Zumbrota thoroughly inspects all components for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. Internal parts, including ring and pinions, gears, clutches, and carriers, undergo comprehensive inspection and testing. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts to guarantee longevity. The gears are checked for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, with backlash set precisely for proper lubrication and quiet operation. Axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM specifications. Zumbrota employs a proprietary cleaning process, including hydro-blasting and sandblasting, followed by a shot-peened deep cleaning, to restore housings to an OEM finish.
