Dana 44 8.5-Inch Ring Gear Axle Assembly

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2352 is a remanufactured axle assembly built to the highest standards of precision and reliability. This unit is designed for the Dana 44 differential, featuring an 8.5-inch ring gear and a 3.21 gear ratio with an open differential configuration. It is specifically designed for 2016-2018 Jeep JK Wranglers with Left-Hand Drive (LHD). Each axle assembly undergoes rigorous inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are thoroughly inspected and tested. Zumbrota replaces 100% of bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The assembly process includes setting correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements for precision setup and ensuring proper gear backlash for lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure on both internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-peened deep cleaning process, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing. This process brings all cases back to their original OEM finish. All housings are also tested for surface wear and cracks, and tubes are inspected to ensure they are straightened to OEM specifications. This remanufactured rear differential assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts. It has a fluid capacity of 2.85 gallons and requires 10 bolts for the housing cover.
