The Yukon Ball Joint Kit is engineered to replace and upgrade the OE ball joints on one side of your Dana 44 IFS front differential. This comprehensive kit includes both the upper and lower ball joints, along with all essential small parts, such as Grade 8 hardware, castle nuts, c-clips, cotter pins, and greaseable zerk fittings for easy maintenance. The kit's construction prioritizes longevity and performance. The housing is precision CNC-machined from forged SAE 1045 carbon alloy steel, ensuring a longer joint life. The ball stud itself is crafted from hot-forged, induction heat-treated 4140 chromoly, providing exceptional durability. Additionally, the ball joints feature extrusion rolled threads, which are significantly stronger than standard cut-thread construction. Protection against contaminants is achieved through a dual-stage boot system. An outer boot made of synthetic Neoprene/CR rubber works in conjunction with an inner seal/pancake boot to safeguard the spherical joint and bucket from gritty road grime, oil, gas, engine fluids, and extreme temperatures.
