The Zumbrota RAA435-147X1 is a performance-grade rear axle assembly featuring a Dana 44 housing with an open differential and a 4.56 gear ratio. All bearings and seals are replaced, and the gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque. Zumbrota utilizes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-peening deep cleaning process for its axle assemblies. This ZPA-Rear Axle Assembly is designed for the '07-'15 Jeep Wrangler models, specifically excluding the Rubicon trim. The housing and tubes are inspected, with tubes straightened to OEM specifications and housings tested for surface wear and cracks. This unit is not pre-filled with oil, requiring fluid to be added post-installation. This axle assembly is intended for lifestyles that require stronger traction, higher speeds, and heavier towing capabilities, going beyond OE replacement. It is suitable for applications involving larger tires, higher horsepower, or towing boats or trailers, where a higher caliber of drivetrain strength is needed.
