Show original supplier description

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-1986B is a meticulously remanufactured rear axle assembly, engineered to meet the highest standards of precision and reliability. This Dana 44 axle assembly comes equipped with a 3.91 gear ratio, an 8.5-inch ring gear, and includes Quadra-Drive and Vari-Lok Posi Traction for enhanced performance. Zumbrota Drivetrain's remanufacturing process involves a thorough inspection of all components, including the ring and pinion gears, internal gears, clutches, and carriers. All bearings and seals are replaced, and gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns. The assembly is precisely set with correct gear backlash for proper lubrication and quiet operation. Additionally, axle tubes are inspected to ensure they meet OEM standards for straightness. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process on both internal and external parts. This advanced cleaning method sets a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing, ensuring a like-new finish and integrity. This specific assembly is designed for 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee models equipped with Quadra-Drive. Please note that this axle assembly does not include hubs, brakes, backing plates, or axle shafts.
