The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2180A-P is a remanufactured Dana 60 axle assembly, built to OEM specifications. This unit is designed for 2003-2009 GM Van 2500 models and features a 3.73 gear ratio with a 9.75-inch ring gear, suitable for 8500 or 8600 GVW applications. It is equipped with Posi Traction for enhanced grip. During the remanufacturing process, all axle tubes are inspected and straightened to OEM standards, and housings undergo testing for surface wear and cracks. Internal components, including the ring and pinion, internal gears, clutch, and carrier, are 100% inspected. All bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The housings are cleaned using a hydro blasting and rinsing process to restore them to an OEM finish. Correct rolling torque is established using inch-pound measurements for precision setup and longevity. This specific axle assembly is designed without active brake control and comes with Posi Traction.
