Dana 60 Front Axle Assembly

The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA434-1968D is a remanufactured front axle assembly specifically designed for the Dana 60 axle, intended for 2005-2007 Ford F250 and F350 Super Duty Single Rear Wheel (SRW) trucks with a 3.73 gear ratio. This axle assembly is rebuilt to rigorous quality standards, ensuring precision and reliability. Zumbrota Drivetrain meticulously inspects each assembly for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, undergo thorough inspection and testing. As part of the remanufacturing process, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced. The gears are inspected for optimal tooth contact patterns and set to correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements for precise setup and longevity. Proper gear backlash is established to ensure adequate gear lubrication and quiet operation. Zumbrota employs a proprietary cleaning process that includes hydro-blasting, rinsing, and shot-peening, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing.
