The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA434-1771N is a remanufactured Dana 60 front axle assembly specifically designed for 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks equipped with 4-wheel ABS. This axle assembly is built to rigorous quality standards, ensuring precision and reliability. It features a 4.10 gear ratio and a 9.75-inch ring gear. During the remanufacturing process, each axle assembly undergoes thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including the ring and pinion, internal gears, clutches, and carrier, are meticulously inspected and tested. Zumbrota Drivetrain replaces all bearings and seals, and carefully sets the gears for optimal tooth contact, correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements, and precise backlash. This attention to detail ensures longevity, quiet operation, and proper gear lubrication. Furthermore, axle tubes are inspected and straightened to meet OEM specifications. The remanufacturing process includes an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning of internal and external parts, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing. All housings are cleaned to restore them to their original OEM finish. The assembly includes 100% replacement of bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims.
