The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA434-1968C is a remanufactured Dana 60 front axle assembly designed for 2005 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks with single rear wheels and the Heavy Duty package. This assembly features a 4.30 gear ratio and a 9.75-inch ring gear. During the remanufacturing process, Zumbrota Drivetrain thoroughly inspects the axle assembly for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring & pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, undergo a 100% inspection. Furthermore, all bearings, seals, crush sleeves, pinion nuts, and shims are replaced with new parts. The unit is also subjected to a proprietary cleaning process, including hydro blasting and rinsing, to ensure it meets OEM finish standards. Precision is a key focus, with Zumbrota establishing correct gear backlash for proper lubrication and quiet operation, and ensuring precise setup and longevity by establishing the correct rolling torque using inch-pound measurements.
