The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2055B is a remanufactured axle assembly built for durability and precision. This unit is specifically designed for Dana 80 full-floating axles, featuring an 11.25-inch ring gear and a 4.63 gear ratio, without Posi Traction. Each axle assembly undergoes a rigorous remanufacturing process. Zumbrota Drivetrain meticulously inspects all internal components, including the ring and pinion gears, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, for any signs of wear or damage. To ensure optimal performance and longevity, all bearings and seals are replaced with new parts. The gears are carefully set to achieve ideal tooth contact patterns and correct rolling torque, measured precisely with inch-pound instruments. Proper gear backlash is also established to guarantee sufficient gear lubrication and quiet operation. The remanufacturing process also extends to the axle housing and tubes. Housings are inspected for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. Axle tubes are verified to meet OEM standards for straightness. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure on both internal and external parts, followed by a proprietary shot-enticed deep cleaning process, which sets a high standard for remanufactured axle assemblies and restores the housing to an OEM finish.
