The Zumbrota Drivetrain RAA435-2067F is a remanufactured Dana 80 axle assembly, meticulously rebuilt to the highest standards of precision and reliability. Designed specifically for 2002-2003 Ford F-450 models equipped with dual rear wheels, this unit features a 4.30 gear ratio and an open differential (without Posi Traction). During the remanufacturing process, each axle assembly undergoes a thorough inspection for straightness, cracks, and surface wear. All internal components, including ring and pinions, internal gears, clutches, and carriers, are fully inspected and tested. Zumbrota replaces all bearings and seals, and precisely sets gear backlash and tooth contact patterns using inch-pound measurements to ensure optimal lubrication, quiet operation, and longevity. The axle tubes are also inspected to meet OEM standards of straightness. Zumbrota employs an exclusive hydro-blast rinse and sandblasting procedure, followed by a proprietary shot-peened deep cleaning process, setting a high standard for axle assembly remanufacturing.
