The Polk Audio DB522 is a 5.25-inch coaxial speaker engineered for versatility, suitable for car audio systems, boats, motorcycles, and ATVs. Its marine certification (IP56 rated) ensures durability against dirt, water, salt-fog, UV, and humidity, with components like a non-corrosive plastic grille, UV-tolerant polypropylene cone, and stainless steel mounting hardware. This two-way speaker system utilizes a 5.25" Dynamic Balance® polypropylene woofer for clear midrange and bass, paired with a 0.75" silk dome tweeter for crisp highs. The speaker boasts a 55 Hz to 22,000 Hz frequency response, 4-ohm impedance, and can handle 100W of continuous power with a peak of 300W. Polk Audio employs a proprietary Dynamic Balance technology, identified through laser imaging, to ensure a distortion-free response and wide sound dispersion. These speakers are also rigorously tested using Klippel distortion analyzers to eliminate electro-acoustic and mechanical issues, maximizing longevity.
