The DBA DBA5010BLKS is a 2-piece, front brake rotor engineered to provide ultimate performance stopping power. This rotor incorporates DBA’s patented world-renowned T3 bi-directional slot design, built upon the foundation of their T2 slot. The T3 design adds precise CNC-machined tri-symmetrical slots, resulting in a quieter, more responsive, and smoother braking experience. These slots also increase the number of exit points for brake pad friction dust and gases, further boosting the consistency and effectiveness of each brake stop. DBA recommends the T3 slot design for high-performance applications. Constructed with high-carbon iron rings and an ultra-lightweight 6061 T6 aviation aluminum center hat, this rotor offers enhanced vehicle control and minimizes hub heat. The aluminum hat is anodized to resist rust and maintain a clean appearance. The iron microstructure is realigned during heat treatment for improved stability and longevity. Kangaroo Paw vane design is incorporated, which DBA claims extends brake life by 20%. Additionally, paint markings change color at varying temperatures to indicate rotor fatigue. Key specifications include an outside diameter of 295mm, a height of 57.5mm, a brake disc thickness of 25mm (minimum 23mm), and a centering diameter of 58mm.
