The Stillen DBA 4000 Series XS brake rotor is engineered for drivers seeking enhanced braking performance beyond standard OE levels. Manufactured by Disc Brakes Australia (DBA), this performance series rotor is cast from high-carbon alloyed iron and subjected to Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) to ensure durability under high-stress, high-heat braking conditions. This front brake rotor features a cross-drilled and slotted surface design, combined with DBA's patented Kangaroo Paw ventilation system. This unique ventilation design utilizes 144 diamond and teardrop-shaped pillars, which contribute to a 30% increase in surface area and a 20% improvement in cooling efficiency over conventional straight vane rotors. These features work together to provide superior stopping power and heat dissipation. Technical specifications include an outside diameter of 276mm, a vented rotor type, 5 stud/lug holes, a nominal thickness of 26mm, and a discard thickness of 26mm. Fitment is specific: this DBA4855XS rotor is designed for the 1999-2004 Ford Mustang. However, it excludes Cobra models for 1999-2000, excludes SVT Cobra and GT Bullitt models for 2001-2002, and fits Base Model and GT trims for 2003-2004.
