Show original supplier description
The DBA 5000 Series 2-Piece brake rotor is engineered by Disc Brakes Australia (DBA) as a high-performance aftermarket upgrade, exceeding standard OE braking capabilities. Constructed from high-carbon alloyed iron, these rotors are treated with Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) to ensure they can withstand the rigors of intense braking applications repeatedly. This rotor incorporates DBA's proprietary Kangaroo Paw ventilation system, which utilizes 144 diamond and teardrop-shaped pillars. This design provides up to a 30% increase in surface area and a 20% improvement in cooling efficiency compared to traditional straight-vane designs, effectively managing heat buildup during demanding use. The rotor surface is cross-drilled and dimpled for optimal pad cleaning and gas dissipation. This specific rotor is a vented, 2-piece design with a black hat, featuring a 380mm outside diameter, 54.5mm overall height, and 72mm center hole diameter. It has a nominal and discard thickness of 34mm and utilizes 5 lug/stud holes. Compatible applications include the 2015-2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 (excluding Trackhawk models), 2018 Dodge Durango, and 2020 Dodge Durango. Fitment notes specify 380mm front discs for these models.
