The DBA DBA040X is a direct replacement brake rotor engineered for daily drivers who desire the aesthetics of a performance component without the associated cost. This rotor incorporates DBA's patented Kangaroo Paw ventilation system, which utilizes a series of diamond and teardrop-shaped pillars. This design significantly increases surface area, leading to up to a 30% improvement in heat dissipation and a 20% increase in cooling efficiency compared to traditional straight vane designs. Additionally, the En-shield coating protects the rotor and eliminates the need for pre-installation cleaning, while a machine-turned CBN polish minimizes disc thickness fluctuations and pad knock. Constructed from high-carbon alloyed iron, the DBA040X undergoes Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP) to ensure its metallurgy can withstand increased stress and heat from demanding braking applications.
