The Hughes Performance HP2580 is a deep cast aluminum transmission pan engineered for the GM 4L80E transmission. This transmission pan is constructed from durable cast aluminum and features cooling fins to help dissipate heat more effectively, which can lead to longer transmission life and consistent performance. This extra fluid volume aids in cooling and lubrication. The HP2580 is specifically noted as being for 2WD applications of the GM 4L80E transmission. It is designed as a direct bolt-on component, and while modifications may not be necessary for some installations, fitment can depend on the vehicle's crossmember and other undercarriage components, especially in lowered vehicles.
