DeFender Rear Fender Flares

The Poison Spyder DeFender Flares are heavy-duty, bolt-on rear fender flares engineered for 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ, Rubicon, and Unlimited models. These components provide 3 inches of tire coverage, helping to protect the vehicle body from trail debris and road spray. They are fabricated from sturdy 3/16-inch steel plate and arrive in a raw, bare steel finish for custom finishing or painting. While designed specifically for the larger wheel openings found on the TJ, these flares may also be installed on YJ or CJ platforms if those vehicles are equipped with full corners that incorporate the larger TJ-style wheel opening. Please note that these flares require installation onto compatible full corners to ensure proper fitment and structural alignment. These flares are intended to provide additional wheel well clearance for larger tires, though they are sold as a steel component which adds more weight compared to stock or aluminum alternatives. The bolt-on design allows for straightforward mounting to the vehicle body, though they do not include mounting hardware or finish coatings as they are supplied in bare steel.
