Description

The Design Engineering 50525 is a transmission tunnel heat shield designed to reduce heat radiating through the center console of a C5 Corvette. Constructed with an embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/4" composite glass-fiber core and backed with a high-temperature, pressure-sensitive adhesive, it adheres directly to the factory underbody exhaust tunnel panel. This heat shield is capable of withstanding up to 1750°F of direct continuous heat, while its adhesive backing remains effective past 450°F.
