DEI Floor and Tunnel Shield II 42in x 48in - 14.0 sq ft

The Design Engineering, Inc. 50549 Black Floor and Tunnel Shield II is a heat barrier designed to block engine and exhaust heat from entering vehicle interiors and to protect sensitive components from heat damage. It features a proprietary high-temperature black coating and an aggressive adhesive backing for easy installation. The shield is flexible and can be shaped to firewalls, transmission tunnels, floors, and other areas. It is constructed with an embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8 inch composite glass-fiber core, with a high-temp super strong pressure-sensitive backing. This shield can withstand direct high temperatures up to 1750°F, and its adhesive side holds past 450°F. It is also resistant to wind and water, requires a minimum clearance of only 3/16 inch thick, and can be easily trimmed, peeled, and stuck to most surfaces. It also serves as a barrier to unwanted road, tire, and engine noise. **NOTE**: Do not apply directly to exhaust components. Bending in a metal brake or making sharp bends may crack the black coating, but this will not affect the product's performance.
