The CP-E DeltaCore Top Mount Intercooler is engineered to optimize performance for the Mazdaspeed 3's MZR DISI engine. This top-mount intercooler features a robust bar and plate core construction, selected for its superior pressure efficiency and cooling capabilities. The core measures 3.25 inches thick, designed to reduce pressure drop without interfering with the hood or surrounding engine components. The endtanks are completely cast to ensure smooth flow in and out of the core, promoting consistent performance. CP-E has meticulously determined the optimal fin density to achieve the maximum possible temperature drop across the intercooler core. To prevent leaks, every bolt hole location is capped, a detail often overlooked by other manufacturers. Installation is facilitated by 6061 billet CNC machined brackets, crafted on a 4-axis CNC machine for precision. The accompanying shroud is CNC laser cut from billet 6061 aluminum, ensuring a precise fit. All mounting tabs are also CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum to perfectly match the shroud. This intercooler is made in the U.S.A. and is available with a silver finish and a titan finish.
