Density Line Motor Mount

The 034Motorsport Density Line Motor Mount represents a new standard in engine mounting, balancing comfort and performance for Audi and Volkswagen models. These mounts are re-engineered with a focus on durability and enhanced driving dynamics. Manufactured from high-durometer rubber, they eliminate the undesirable flex and slop found in stock engine mounts by being optimized to be void-free and fluid-free. Customers can choose between two densities: Street Density and Track Density. The Street Density option utilizes 50 durometer rubber, providing approximately 10% more stiffness than stock. Combined with a void-free construction, this results in a mount that is about 25% stiffer than the original, offering reduced drivetrain slop and crisper shifting with minimal NVH increase. The Track Density option uses 80 durometer rubber, approximately 90% stiffer than stock, leading to a mount that is about 120% stiffer. This option is recommended for track-focused vehicles and will result in a noticeable increase in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) within the cabin. These motor mounts serve as a complete, direct-fit replacement for the factory units. They are constructed with steel bases, which are significantly stronger than the original aluminum ones, to withstand the increased stress of spirited driving. Features include reduced drivetrain slop, decreased engine movement under load, more direct power transfer, and an improved shifting feel. It's important to note that these mounts are sold individually, and a complete vehicle set requires two mounts. For Tiptronic vehicles with active mounts on B7 Audi A4 models (2005-2008) with 2.0T FSI or 3.2L FSI engines, two Resistor Bypasses are required to prevent the MIL from illuminating. 034Motorsport prefers high-durometer rubber over polyurethane for its superior damping capabilities across both tension and compression, as well as its effectiveness in shear applications, which are common in engine mounts. Unlike polyurethane, rubber does not pack or wear down over time, ensuring consistent performance and comfort for a longer lifespan. For installation, the mount nuts should be torqued to the factory specification of 25 Nm (approximately 18.5 ft. lbs.) to prevent damage.
