Its patented design utilizes parallel-axis planetary helix gears, providing a quiet and automatic split of torque. This robust construction and proven design have been reliable for over 60 years. Key specifications include a 9.75-inch ring gear size, a 1.5-inch axle shaft diameter, and 35 spline count. This differential is designed exclusively for front axles, making it suitable for applications where enhanced grip is needed in the front drivetrain. This Truetrac differential is specifically designed for Dana 60 axles. It requires 35 splines and is compatible with gear ratios of 4.10 or numerically lower. The fitment covers a wide range of Ford F250 & F350 Super Duty models from 1979 through 2016, provided they are equipped with the Dana 60 front axle meeting the spline and gear ratio requirements. It is also compatible with various General Motors and Chrysler/Dodge/Ram vehicles from different model years, all requiring the Dana 60 front axle with 35 splines and a 4.10 or lower gear ratio.
