OEM technology is getting better and better every year. At DFC, we endeavor to match the latest technologies as applied by the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Each rotor is engineered to match the OE vane configuration, including the OE split-core technology to ensure proper and maximum heat dissipation. Additionally, all cores are dipped with a specifically formulated paint in order to provide a smoother finish inside the vane structure. The smooth finish will improve air flow as well as reduce the amount of machining required in order to properly balance the finished rotor during the mill-balancing process. Each rotor is machined to the tightest tolerances available in the market today (0.010mm DTV and 0.050mm maximum lateral runout, regularly achieving 0.007mm DTV and 0.025mm maximum lateral runout). Rotors are fine-turned to a maximum of 1.6 RMS for a smoother finish and improved initial break-in. Each rotor passes a 100% electronic inspection station that measures over 20 attributes to ensure OE specifications. A genuine GEOMET® Finish is applied for superior corrosion protection, which is processed dry, shipped dry, and ready to install without any additional preparation, saving time during installation. The GEOMET® coating provides excellent cyclic corrosion performance (withstands 400 hours salt spray) and is environmentally friendly, meeting EPA, Chrysler CS-9003, General Motors GMW 3059, Ford WSS-M99P9999-A1 (Hex 9), EU Directives on ELV and RoHS, and is free of toxic metals. Engineered with premium G3000/G11H18 iron castings for strength, stability, and durability. High Carbon iron formulations (Molybdenum, Chromium, and Carbon) enhance noise dampening characteristics, provide high strength, and increased thermal conductivity.
