Description

The ATS Diesel Performance GM Governor Pressure Solenoid Block Conversion Kit is engineered for the 47RE and 48RE automatic transmissions found in 1996-2007 Dodge Ram trucks with the 5.9L Cummins engine. This kit installs directly into the transmission's valve body, replacing the original factory governor pressure solenoid. The primary function of this upgrade is to provide more precise control over hydraulic pressure within the transmission. This conversion is particularly beneficial for applications involving towing or performance driving, where increased transmission stress can highlight the limitations of the factory components. The enhanced pressure control contributes to a more robust and responsive transmission operation. Installation is internal to the transmission valve body.
