Differential Breather Kit

The ARB 170112 Differential Breather Kit provides a crucial upgrade for off-road vehicles by elevating the breather location for axles, transfer cases, and transmissions. This prevents water from entering these vital drivetrain components during water crossings, which can cause significant damage due to thermal contraction creating a vacuum. The kit's central manifold is expertly machined from anodized billet aluminum, offering both lightweight construction and excellent resistance to environmental elements. It is equipped with four breather ports, enabling the connection of up to four individual breather lines, and its compact nature facilitates installation in a wide range of locations within the vehicle's engine bay or chassis. The manifold utilizes an ARB compressor air filter, featuring a splash-resistant design and a washable, high-flow sintered bronze filter element. Included in the kit is 8mm polyethylene tubing, chosen for its flexibility and resistance to oil, water, and heat. This larger diameter tubing, compared to standard 6mm, enhances airflow and minimizes the risk of blockages, particularly in demanding off-road scenarios like steep inclines or off-camber driving. The kit comes with 8mm push-in fittings for straightforward and rapid installation, along with self-tapping screws for mounting. The manifold's mounting holes are sized for M6 (1/4 inch) bolts or studs, common in most vehicle engine bays.
