The Powerflex Dual Mount Diff Bracket (PFR5-4030) is engineered to address differential bushing degradation in high-power BMW F8x M2, M3, and M4 models. These vehicles, often used for track days, experience significant stress on their rear differential bushings due to their powerful engines. The factory design uses a single offset bushing, which can lead to rapid wear and an unsettled rear-end, particularly around the 30,000-40,000 mile mark, especially when combined with worn front diff bushes. This dual mount bracket, constructed from in-house CNC-machined 6082 high-tensile aluminum with a corrosion-resistant satin black anodized finish, utilizes the subframe's secondary mounting position. By adding a second bushing, it significantly reduces drivetrain movement, improves throttle response, and enhances chassis consistency during acceleration and deceleration, leading to better tire-to-road power transfer and reduced wheel hop. Installation can be performed without completely removing the subframe. The bracket is optimized for high stress and deflection, making it suitable for both road and track use. For ultimate differential control and a robust solution, Powerflex recommends combining this bracket with their PFR5-4026 Rear Diff Rear Mounting Bushings and PFR5-4025 Rear Diff Front Mounting Bushings. The kit includes an M14 mounting bolt and thread locker, and customers may need to replace BMW part # 31126760203 during installation.
